What can you expect out of your weekend at Heritage Place? Although that largely depends on the group you are going with, I thought I would put together this article so newbies have an idea of what they can get out of there time here.
Many people have asked why I decided to build and run a scrapbooking retreat. The idea was first kicked around by my husband and I who were looking to invest in the then-booming real estate market. He was interested in purchasing a rental home or multi-family unit, although I must say that did not appeal to me much.
Every small business has a “wish list” of items that need improving or upgrading and Heritage Place does its best to keep up with guests expectations while maintaining profitablity. In fact, we put all of our profits back into the retreat, in the form of either maintenace items, new features and fun stuff, supplies for the crop room
Although Heritage Place was built with scrapbooking in mind, there are many other uses for the facility. For example, Rebecca Metz of Modern Inconveniences, holds several events at Heritage Place that are geared for small business owners. Rebecca has been holding a Women’s Writing Retreat at Heritage Place for the past two years.
